A suspected goat thief who identified himself as Sola Tunde has been apprehended by Igbajo residents of Boluwaduro Local Government Area of Osun State.
The suspect was reportedly caught after allegedly stealing several goats in the community.
According to residents who apprehended him, Tunde was among those who had been terrorising the community by stealing goats in the middle of the night.
Stolen Goats
The suspect reportedly confessed that he had a partner with whom he operated and identified the accomplice as Idowu, a commercial driver and member of the Osun State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
Eyewitnesses said the suspects were apprehended after their vehicle broke down in the town while they were allegedly attempting to leave with the stolen goats.
The suspect was reportedly beaten by some residents before he was handed over to the police.
He is currently in police custody, according to the residents.
