An angry mob on Monday December 28, 2020, lynched a suspected kidnapper at Mufu Lanihun Area of Oke-Ado, Ibadan, while attempting to kidnap a four year old child in the community.
It was stated that a sum on N250, 000 was found on the kidnapper before he burnt to death.
However, luck was on the side of his two colleagues, who were said to have run away and escaped the mob’s spontaneous judgement.
According to information gathered, some residents noticed the alleged criminals attempting to kidnap and raised alarm, leading to the apprehension of one of the three kidnappers and the other two escaped.
A witness explained, “It happened around 9:00am today. The kidnappers were seen roaming the street with a doll at their back and a resident who identified the child already in their net raised alarm”.
