The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has celebrated Archbishop Francis Wale Oke on his 70th birthday, describing the renowned cleric as a distinguished son of Ibadan whose decades of service have positively influenced lives in Nigeria and beyond.
Alli, in a congratulatory message issued on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, described the Archbishop, who is the founder of Sword of the Spirit Ministries, as a leading spiritual figure whose commitment to the propagation of Christianity and the development of people has brought honour to Oyo State.
According to him, Archbishop Oke’s influence extends far beyond the church, with his leadership and ministry touching communities, cities and nations across the world.
The APC candidate congratulated the cleric on behalf of his family and the party in Oyo State, describing his 70th birthday as an opportunity to celebrate his contributions to spiritual growth, leadership, peace and national development.
Alli said the Archbishop had spent decades moulding destinies and promoting the Christian faith, adding that his record of service had established him as a generational leader and reformer.

The senator also commended Archbishop Oke’s leadership qualities and achievements, particularly his service as the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
He prayed for continued grace, good health and many more years of fruitful service for the cleric.
