The University of Ibadan (UI), has proposed between N283, 500 and N338, 500 sundry levies for newly admitted students for the incoming session,
The returning students will also pay between N121, 850, and N173, 850.
According to a document titled, “University of Ibadan: Proposed Schedule of Levies for New Undergraduate Students in the 2022/2023 Academic Session”, where the breakdown of the levies was made, new students offering courses without laboratory practical will pay N233, 500.
While students offering courses with laboratory practical will pay N338,500, students offering courses with studio/digital studio will pay N283, 500.
The institution noted, “levy for field trips, teaching practice, professional levy where such a mandatory requirement of the course of study will be determined as the need arises.”
The breakdown for the returning students reveals that students offering courses without laboratory practical will pay N121,850 and those offering courses with laboratory practical will pay N173, 850.
The students offering courses with studio/digital studio will pay N148, 850.
The proposed levies have been forwarded to the Federal Ministry of Education for approval.
