On Thursday, May 11, 2023, the University of Ibadan (UI), officially released the names of 19 academic staff promoted to full Professors and 22 to Reader, otherwise known as Associate Professors on March 21 and, 22, 2023.
According to a bulletin signed by the institution’s Registrar, G. O. Saliu, among the newly promoted professors is the late Dr. C. R. Nwozo (Posthumous) from the Department of Mathematics. His promotion, which was announced nine years after he was due, takes effect from October 1, 2014.
Investigations revealed that Nwozo died in 2018.
