Actress Darasimi Ifeoluwa, the ex-wife of Skit maker Ganiyu Kehinde morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has finally broken her silence regarding the scandalous Truth or Dare game that recently went viral. Darasimi and her friend, Mary Gold had the game with Popular Yoruba Nollywood actor, Babatunde Tayo, popularly known as Baba Tee, where the duo engaged in both oral and real sexual act with Baba Tee in May, 2024.

Darasimi, in a chat on Talk to B. said, “I regret that I lost my home and marriage. What I did was bad. Lande offended me because when he heard that I did wrong, he didn’t call me to discuss it with me.”

In a revealing statement, she shared details about her troubled marriage, the events that led to her separation, and how she got entangled in the controversy.

According to Darasimi, her marriage to Lande ended in January after a series of violent altercations. She accused her ex-husband of domestic abuse, stating that he physically assaulted her multiple times, including in the presence of her friend, Mary Gold.

“Lande beat me because of Mary Gold,” she explained. “Nine of us contribute ₦100,000 monthly in a voluntary savings group. I pressured Mary Gold to keep up with her contributions, and Lande got angry. He has beaten me in front of her before, stripped me naked, and even caused my nose to bleed”, she explained.

Darasimi also admitted to smoking Indian hemp and shisha, adding that both she and Lande engaged in the habit.

On the controversial Truth or Dare incident, Darasimi recounted how she accompanied Mary Gold to visit Baba Tee, a mutual friend, around 6 p.m. that day. She stated that she had met Baba Tee only once before and had no prior relationship with him.

While at Baba Tee’s house, Mary Gold suggested playing the Truth or Dare game, which Darasimi initially hesitated to join. However, after consuming alcohol, she participated in the game, which escalated into inappropriate actions, including giving Baba Tee a lap dance and afterward had casual sex with Baba Tee.

“I regret falling victim,” she admitted. “I was tipsy, and I didn’t fully understand what I was doing. It was a big mistake, and I need to ask for forgiveness.”

Darasimi also revealed that Mary Gold was actively involved in the game and dared her to engage in certain acts with Baba Tee, which she refused. However, some of their actions spiraled out of control, and she expressed deep regret over how the incident played out.

Despite her regrets, she remains uncertain about how details of the encounter leaked to her ex-husband. She insisted that she never had a romantic affair with anyone in the entertainment industry, including Baba Tee.

“I didn’t date anyone, but I played a game I deeply regret,” she concluded.

Earlier, Darasimi recounted that she first met Ijoba Lande on December 26, 2020, at a show and party organised by her friend, Mary Gold. At the time, she was unaware of his status as a skit maker. Their interaction at the event led to a budding friendship, and by February 2021, they had started dating. Both living in Mowe at the time, their relationship quickly progressed.

According to Darasimi, when her house rent expired, she planned to move out of Mowe. Coincidentally, Ijoba Lande also wanted to relocate.

He suggested they rent a two-bedroom apartment together, to which she agreed. In March 2021, the couple moved to Lagos, settling in Ayobo. Their relationship deepened as they lived together as boyfriend and girlfriend. By June of that year, Ijoba Lande took Darasimi to meet his family, introducing her as his fiancée, a gesture warmly received by his parents. She also introduced him to her mother, and they had a formal introduction ceremony.

However, Darasimi revealed that at the time she met Ijoba Lande, she was already in a relationship with another man whom she had planned to marry. She revealed that Mary Gold played a role in her separation from her ex-boyfriend. This led to conflicts between her and Ijoba Lande.

According to her, her ex-boyfriend, who was married, ended their relationship abruptly and later warned her to be cautious of Mary Gold.

He also reminded her of the financial assistance he had given her for her first movie, which she had shared in confidence with Mary Gold. This breach of trust led to further complications, as Mary Gold relayed the information to her own boyfriend, who in turn informed Darasimi’s ex-boyfriend, ultimately leading him to block her.

Darasimi also shared the financial difficulties they faced as a couple claiming that Ijoba Lande had no money when they started dating.

Eventually, she got pregnant for him. During her pregnancy, she struggled with hunger and financial hardship, as she was the one funding their introduction ceremony.

She also revealed that she already had two children before meeting Ijoba Lande, making their child together her third.

Darasimi pointed out that one of the major challenges in their relationship was Ijoba Lande’s gambling addiction.

She stated that he frequently borrowed money to gamble and gave her little attention adding that at one point, he even sold his Lexus 350 X car to finance his gambling habit.

She stated that their financial struggles intensified, and she was often forced to buy food on credit.

Darasimi explained that in March 2023, things took a dire turn when Ijoba Lande became depressed and disappeared from home around 9 PM.

She said that she searched for him throughout the night, and he was found after five days, revealing that he had contemplated suicide.

Despite the distressing incident, according to her, he reportedly continues to gamble, sometimes spending as much as N2 million on it.
