First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Monday, October 5, 2026, joined top leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at a women’s mobilisation and empowerment campaign rollout in Abuja ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The event, held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Center, brought together APC women stakeholders, female aspirants and members of the party’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council Women Mobilisation Directorate.
Oluremi Tinubu was accompanied by the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima; Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Committee, Senator Abdulaziz Yari; Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma; former APC National Chairman, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje; and other party leaders.

A major highlight of the programme was the empowerment of women beneficiaries with various support items aimed at strengthening their livelihoods.
The First Lady personally presented some of the items, including a motorbike to one of the beneficiaries.
The programme also featured a closed-door meeting between Oluremi Tinubu, female APC aspirants and other dignitaries on the sidelines of the event.
The women mobilisation and empowerment initiative is part of the APC’s efforts to mobilise women and increase their participation in the party’s campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
