The Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has assured Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration could feel the people’s pain and it is more determined than ever to make everyone feel the impact of government.
Adelabu, who stated this during the 63rd Independent Day celebration in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, appealed to Nigerians to exercise patience with the government while they (cabinet members) work earnestly to get the country moving again in the right direction.
He said, “I’m using this medium to appeal to Nigerians to exercise some level of patience, to exercise some level of understanding. We can feel their pains, they have suffered for too long, they have not felt the impact of government, and this administration is determined to change that.”
Pointing out that President Tinubu has charged his cabinet members to be up and doing in the attempt to deliver the dividends of democracy to Nigerians, saying that the President bestowed a huge responsibility on all Cabinet members to bring meaningful development to their various sectors.
He claimed that “the president is doing a lot and he has equally charged his cabinet members to do everything possible in their respective sectors to bring development so that all the sectors can actuall live up to expectations.”
Speaking further, Adelabu assured that the Ministry of Power is committed to ensuring that Nigerians feel the impact of Energy stressing that Nigerians have suffered bad electricity over the years and that he would ensure an end to the crises in the Power Sector.
He said that the country is so blessed with human resources and mineral resources that if well managed, no one should suffer in the country.
He expressed his determination to bring electricity to the doorsteps of every household, every business, every institution and every industry noting that nothing could work without stable electricity.
