Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun, and other members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) serving under Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, on Tuesday, officially announced their defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The defection was conveyed at a press conference organised by the ADC at an event centre located at Bodija, Ibadan.
The Commissioners who defected alongside Olatunbosun include – Adeniyi Adebisi (Commissioner for Agriculture) and Barrister Seun Asamu (Commissioner for Energy).
Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Olatunbosun added that other defectors include – special advisers to the governor, elected vice-chairmen at local governments, elected councillors and supervisory councillors.
Olatunbosun noted that the party members made the decision to integrate themselves into the PDP fold, to further enhance the reelection of Governor ‘Seyi Makinde in 2023.
