Oonirisa of Ile-Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, has made a cash donation to University College Hospital, (UCH) for the completion of the Wuraola Ogunwusi Chemotherapy Centre, a project he endowed in his late mother’s name.
Disclosing this, the hospital Chief Medical Director (CMD), Professor Jesse Otegbayo, said that the Yoruba foremost Monarch also donated a motorized modular fumigator to the hospital in response to their call for support in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The donations were made at the palace of the monarch during a courtesy visit by the management of the teaching hospital.
Otegbayo lauded the Monarch for the donations saying, “We are deeply elated by this gesture from kabiyesi”.
In his short remark, Oba Ogunwusi said that the donation was informed by the fact that his mother was an ex-staff of the hospital adding that his mother worked in UCH for 42 years and also died there.
