A veteran Nollywood actor, Anayo Modestus Onyekwere popularly known as Kanayo O. Kanayo, has warned parents against the collection of gifts from their children they do not know their sources of income.
Speaking at a forum, Kanayo said that parents who receive expensive gifts from their children without questioning how they got them are likely going to die earlier.
The Actor said, “Your daughter is 20 years of age. She is not working. She comes home with a phone of N1.5 million and you rejoice and say hay, praise the Lord, my daughter has got a phone. Then, she gave you N100,000 or N200,000, and you didn’t ask questions. That is what is killing a lot of parents. Their sons who are not working come home with money or cars, and you don’t ask questions. I am asking you, parents, to ask questions. You don’t ask questions whether your son had killed to buy that car. Parents it is a warning I am giving you and this is why some parents are dying young.”
