Evangelist Mike Bamiloye’s Mount Zion and its gospel film productions have lost four prominent actors and actresses in the past four years.
Two actresses, Evangelist Folasade Aina, popularly known as Iya Fadekemi in the Abejoye movie series, and Toluwalope Adegboyega, who played Flora in the Abattoir series, died in a ghastly motor accident. Meanwhile, Moses Korede Are, who portrayed Baba Gbenro in Abattoir, passed away after a long battle with liver disease.
Iya Fadekemi died on October 19, 2022, at the age of 55. Baba Gbenro passed away on November 14, 2024, at 65. Flora, whose age was not confirmed at the time of filing this report, died on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
Before these recent losses, in 2021, Feyi Oluwagbemi, the wife of Jerry Oluwagbemi, both of Mount Zion Films, passed away at 55, due to ischemic stroke.
