A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aligned with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the formation of a 13-member Caretaker Committee, with former Minister Tanimu Turaki (SAN), named as chairman.
The resolution was reached during the group’s 103rd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, which took place on Monday in Abuja.
The motion for the committee’s ratification was presented by the Chairman of the PDP in Edo State, Tony Aziegbemi, and received support from Clement Fagboyede, an ex officio member of the party.
Taofeek Arapaja was also named as the committee’s National Secretary, alongside other members including Daniel Ambrose, Hamza Abuya, Ihediwa, Isah Abubakar, Theophilus Dakashan, Ini Ememobong, Aribisala Adewale Idowu, Baru Shaffi, and Okechukwu Obiechina.
