Nigerian ladies incarcerated in Libya have appealed to the Nigerian government to assist by bringing them back to Nigeria.
It was gathered that these Nigerian immigrants have been imprisoned for the past one year without trial and conviction.
Protesting, the ladies were shouting, “We need freedom, freedom! freedom!! and freedom!!! We are hungry. This is where we are sleeping. We are suffering. They are collecting 1500 from us. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we need your help. Other ladies from other countries incarcerated with us are running away but we decide to stay calm so that we can protect our name, the name of Nigeria. We want to protect our country, Nigeria.”
The protesters posted on social media the unhygienic environment and dormitory they were incarcerated.
