Gunmen have reportedly killed a former Commissioner for Rural Development in Enugu State, Gab Onuzulike.
Onuzulike, who was also a former Chairman of Oji River Local Government Area, was killed alongside his elder brother, Elvis.
They were reportedly shot dead on Friday evening at Nkpokolo Achi, while returning from a burial ceremony in the area.
It was gathered that a team of security men gave the gunmen a hot chase, killed one of them, and arrested another member of the gang.
A circulating gruesome video shows the blood-soaked bodies of the victims, with residents wailing.
Police in Enugu State have yet to make an official statement on the incident.
In another development, three policemen were killed this morning by unknown gunmen in front of the Agbani divisional police station at Agbani, Nkanu West Local Government area of Enugu State.
