Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, swore in the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo; the Head of Service, Mrs. Olubunmi Oni, 16 newly- appointed Commissioners, the State Accountant-General, Mrs Kikelomo Adegoke and some Permanent Secretaries.
The swearing-in-ceremony was held at the Executive Chamber of the Govrnor’s Office, Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Makinde stated that his administration has successfully appointed the commissioners across the 14 federal constituencies in the state, stressing that he would continue to search for reputable personalities that could serve the state well from its nooks and crannies.
The Governor urged the newly appointed Commissioners and other principal officials to be upright and deliver their statutory functions according to the oath of office they took.
The newly sworn-in commissioners are:
Barr. Olasunkanmi Olaleye– Agriculture and Rural Development
Mr Segun Olayiwola– Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
Abiodun Aikomo–Justice
Prof Abdulwaheed Soliu– Education, Science and Technology.
Majeed Mogbojunbola– Environment.
Williams Akinfunmilayo– Lands Housing and Urban Development.
Prince Dotun Oyelade– Information
Ademola Ojo– Trade, Investment, Industry, and Co-operative
Alhaja Fausat Sanni– Special Duties
Prof Musibau Babatunde–Budget and Economy Planning
Prof Daud Sangodoyin– Public Works and Transport.
Toyin Balogun–Women Affairs and Social Inclusion.
Akinola Ojo – Finance
Barrister Adeniyi Adebisi – Establishment and Training.
Seun Ashamu–Energy/Natural Resource
Mr. Wasiu Olatubosun–Culture/Tourism
