Crawford University, Igbesa, Ogun State, has appointed Professor Afolorunso Olalekan Dairo as the new Chairman of its Board of Trustees (BoT).
Dairo’s appointment was approved by the Proprietor and Chancellor of the university, Rev. Dr. Isaac Adigun, in a letter dated September 16, 2026.
According to the university, the appointment recognises Dairo’s distinguished leadership qualities, contributions to the institution as a former member of its Governing Council, commitment to the Church and extensive experience in university administration.
Before his new appointment, Dairo served as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at Redeemer’s University, Ede, where he contributed to academic excellence and institutional development.
His appointment as Chairman of Crawford University’s Board of Trustees is for an initial five-year term, renewable for a second term subject to satisfactory performance.
The university’s management, staff and students congratulated Dairo on his appointment, expressing confidence that his experience, leadership and wisdom would contribute to the continued growth and development of the institution.
