The Government of General Muhammadu Buhari in Nigeria may have come under a very serious threat as it is alleged that the Federal Government may have lost some part of Borno State to terrorist groups, BOKO HARAM, Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (isis), who have elected a governor to some parts of the state.
According to a report by PRNigeria, which was obtained on the internet, the terrorist groups, on Tuesday July 6, 2021, allegedly appointed one Abba-Kaka, a governor for some parts of Borno State.
Governor Abba-Kaka, whose government is said to have the structure of normal government is controlling Marte, Abadam, Kukuwa, Magumeri and other areas of the Lake Chad Region.
The Groups have imposed taxes on fishing activities and farming within its jurisdiction.
It is stated that members of the terrorist groups have started collecting N5, 000 monthly from traders and farmers, while fishermen will pay N2,000 per bag of fish among other levies.
Also appointed by the group are the Operation Commander of Timbuktu Triangle, Abubakah Dan-Buduma, Baba Isa was appointed to be in charge of taxation and revenue on fishing activities, posted to Kanga in Abadam to relieve Abu Abudullahi, Chief Prosecutor, Ibn Umar, Amir of Tudun Wulgo, Abu Umama, Commander of Sabon Tumbu, Muhammed Maina.
According to the information gathered, the interim council has introduced Mobile Courts and some policies to harmonise all insurgents’ activities and groups under the leadership of ISIS.
The administration is said to have also established two caliphates at Lake Chad and Sambisa Forest to sustain its war against countries in sib-sahara Africa.
A former Director of the Department of State Service and Security expert, Mike Ejiofor, doubted the veracity of the story, saying that the story is a propaganda if the source is from the terrorist groups.
Discussing the implication of the development if it were found to be true, Ejiofor said, “It is part of the security challenge. Don’t forget that it is confirmed that Shekarau is dead. So, they want to prove that his death alone cannot stop the activities of BOKO HARAM and ISWAP.
