The Bimbo Adekanmbi Governorship Campaign Council of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State has appointed veteran journalists and media professionals into its Media and Publicity Sub-Committee.
According to a press statement dated Saturday, September 26, 2026, and signed by the Bimbo Adekanmbi Campaign Council, the appointments, which take immediate effect, have Mr Yinka Oladoyinbo as Director of Communication and Spokesperson, and Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju as Co-Director and Spokesperson.
The statement lists Ms Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa, Mr Dapo Falade, Mrs Bosede Sodiq, Mr Moses Alao, and Mr Fisayo Daramola as Deputy Directors.
According to the campaign council, the appointments were made as part of efforts to strengthen its media and public communication structure ahead of the governorship election.
Oladoyinbo, the newly appointed Director of Communication and Spokesperson, is a Deputy Editor of the Nigerian Tribune and has 27 years of post-qualification experience in journalism.
He previously worked with Daily Trust and The Punch, serving as a State Correspondent in Lagos, Ondo and Kogi states.
He currently heads the Politics Desk of the Nigerian Tribune, described by the campaign council as Nigeria’s oldest newspaper.
Beyond journalism, Oladoyinbo has been involved in grassroots politics and recently served as Secretary of Ibadan South-West Local Government.
Giwa-Onafuwa is a radio and television broadcasting professional with more than 16 years of experience in Nigeria’s media industry.
She began her career with a foundation in music production and performance in London before returning to Nigeria in 2008.
She holds a master’s degree in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan.
She has twice served as a General Manager in the broadcast media sector and is also a TEDx speaker, professional master of ceremonies and content creator.
The campaign council said she also serves on the boards of Educare Trust and Alliance Française Ibadan, where she contributes to education and cultural exchange initiatives.
Falade has more than 20 years of experience in journalism and political reporting.
He rose to the position of Deputy Editor at the Nigerian Tribune, where he handled major political and regional assignments, including serving as State Correspondent in Ekiti and Rivers states and as Lead Senate Correspondent in Abuja.
In May 2020, Falade founded Newscoven.com, a digital news platform focused on journalism in the new media environment.
The campaign council said the newly constituted media team would be responsible for driving its communication and publicity activities as it seeks to promote Adekanmbi’s governorship bid in Oyo State.
