Two leading governorship aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Adebayo Adelabu and Senator Sharafadeen Alli, have obtained the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination forms ahead of the 2027 election.
Adelabu’s Personal Assistant picked up the forms on his behalf, while Alli personally collected his forms at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
Alli was accompanied by members of the House of Representatives, including Remi Oseni, Akeem Adeyemi, Olamiju Alao-Akala, and Akin Alabi.
Senator Alli currently represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, while Adelabu, popularly known as “Penkelemesi,” is a former Minister of Power.
Both aspirants are indigenes of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, and are considered key contenders in the APC’s race for the 2027 governorship election in the state.
