A new video released by the terrorists who abducted residents, teachers, and pupils from Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota communities in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State has surfaced online, showing two of the victims pleading with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde to rescue them.

The victims were kidnapped during attacks on the communities on Friday, May 15, 2026.
In the disturbing video currently circulating on social media, the terrorists were seen pointing guns at Mrs. Alamu Folawe, Principal of Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele, and Mrs. Mary Akanbi of Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota, as the women begged the government to negotiate with their captors.
Speaking on behalf of the other abductees, the victims appealed to both the Federal and Oyo State governments to meet the demands of the terrorists to secure their release.
Folawe, who spoke tearfully in the video, warned the government against using force to rescue them, saying a recent confrontation between security operatives and the terrorists had worsened their condition and endangered their lives.
According to her, the terrorists had isolated one of the male captives and threatened to kill him if the government failed to negotiate with them.
“I am here again to beg the government, particularly President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, to please help us and dialogue with these people. They should not use force. The force they used yesterday has caused us so much pain and added to our problem,” she said.
“The terrorists have isolated one man to be killed because the government attempted to rescue us by force. We want you to call them and dialogue with them so that our lives will be saved.”
She further described the condition of the captives in the bush as horrific.
“We are appealing to the government, for God’s sake, please help us. We are suffering from rain and sun in the bush. This is too much for us. Both the children, adults, and teachers are begging the government. It is the 13th day we have been kidnapped. Please negotiate with them and give them what they want so we can regain our freedom,” she added.
Also speaking in the video, Mrs. Akanbi, who was seen carrying her visibly weak baby, appealed emotionally to Governor Makinde to intervene urgently.
“We are pleading to Makinde, please help us and negotiate with these people. Whatever they want, give it to them. We need your help, the children, the teachers, and all of us here. Please save our lives,” she said.
