Nollywood actress, Biola Fowosere, has narrated how popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, came to her aid after she was allegedly stranded in Lagos by a man who had promised to sponsor her film project.
Speaking during an interview, Fowosere recounted that the man, who she said had returned from abroad, had repeatedly expressed interest in financing one of her movie scripts and invited her to Lagos for a meeting.
According to the actress, she travelled from Ibadan to Lagos with the expectation of presenting her script and discussing funding arrangements for the proposed film project.
She explained that upon arriving at the man’s residence in the Alagbado area of Lagos, the meeting took an unexpected turn when the prospective sponsor allegedly demanded a sexual relationship as a condition for providing financial support.
Fowosere said she was shocked by the request, insisting that she had travelled solely to discuss her script and potential sponsorship.
According to her, the man allegedly promised to provide substantial funds for film production without demanding repayment, but insisted that she first engage in what she described as a “twosome” arrangement.
The actress said she immediately rejected the proposal and requested transport fare to enable her reconnect with a friend who had accompanied her to Lagos.
She alleged that the man became angry after her refusal, threw her script back at her, declined to assist her financially and ordered her to leave the premises.
Fowosere disclosed that the situation left her stranded, with only N3,000 in her bank account and no immediate means of returning home.
She said she subsequently reached out to Pasuma for assistance, explaining her predicament and requesting financial help.
According to her, the Fuji star responded promptly by asking for her bank account details and transferring money to her.
The actress said the funds enabled her to travel to Allen Avenue to meet her friend and eventually return to Ibadan safely.
“I had only N3,000 in my account. After I called Pasuma and explained my situation, he asked for my account details and sent me money immediately. I used it to get to Allen Avenue and reunite with my friend,” she said.
Fowosere expressed gratitude to the musician for his timely intervention, describing his assistance as a lifeline during a difficult and embarrassing experience.
