A renowned Nigerian gospel singer and evangelist, Toun Soetan is dead.
Details surrounding her death were still unclear as of the time of this report. However, sources close to the family confirmed that the respected evangelist died earlier on Friday, March 13, 2026.
Soetan was known for her passionate preaching and commitment to evangelical outreach. Over the years, she built a reputation as a dedicated minister whose teachings and revival meetings reached many people across different parts of the country.
Her ministry focused on prayer, evangelism and spiritual revival, attracting followers from several Christian denominations. Many believers saw her as a voice that encouraged spiritual renewal and spent decades spreading the Christian faith.

In a statement, former secretary of the Oyo State chapter of the Entertainment Writers Association of Nigeria, Kunle Bakare, described the late minister as a “God-sent” figure because of the message in her songs.
According to him, she would also be remembered for establishing a music college where she trained many gospel musicians who are active in the industry today.
