Men of the Ogun State Police Command have apprehended three out of four teenagers living in Abeokuta, capital of Ogun State, who murdered a girl residing at Idi-Ape, Abeokuta, Capital of Ogun State, identified as Rofiat for money ritual.
The arrested three murderers are: Abdulgafar Lukman 19, Wariz Oladeinde, 17, both living at Kugba and Mustakeem Balogun, living at Bode Olude. The forth culprit, Soliu, who is the on the run is the boy friend of the murdered girl, who lured the girl to his house where he was killed.
The incident happened at Oke Aregba area of Abeokuta.
According to information gathered, a community security guard, Segun Adewusi observed that some four boys were burning something suspected to be a human part in a local pot on the road and immediately informed the police at Adatan station, who swiftly dispatched some policemen to the scene of the crime. On getting to the place, the policemen arrested three teenagers and the fourth, Soliu escaped the arrest.
Information further revealed that Soliu held her down the girl and asked one of the remaining three boys to slaughter her with a knife. “They killed Rofiat, cut her head, packed the headless body in a sack and started burning the head in a pot. They told the police in the presence of a mammoth crowd that they wanted to use it for money ritual. The police have taken the body away to a mortuary,” the source explained.
Explaining how the girl was killed, Mustakeem said, “I am living at Bode Olude. The girl was living in Idi-Ape. The girl is a girl friend of Soliu. Soliu doesn’t know her parents and the parents do not know him. We agreed to use the girl for money ritual. We need only her head for the money ritual. We used cutlass to cut her head. It was Soliu, who was lying on her and spangled her before asked me to cut the head and I cut it. After removing the head, we but her body in a bag and it is in Soliu’s room”.
