An unidentified Nigerian woman has taken to social media to accuse her driver, identified as Ibrahim Opeyemi Kasali, of stealing an undisclosed amount of dollars allegedly meant to pay her son’s Master’s degree tuition abroad.
According to her account, Kasali was employed as her driver in July 2025. However, on Monday, after dropping her off at work, he reportedly returned home and gained access to her apartment, carting away the foreign currency she had been saving for over a year.
The woman alleged that Kasali used a duplicate key to gain entry into the house, though she was unsure how he obtained it.

In her words: “Ibrahim Opeyemi Kasali was employed as a driver in July 2025. On Monday, he dropped me off at work, went back home, and robbed me of the dollars I had been saving for over a year. The money was meant for my son’s Master’s degree abroad. No one knows how or where he got a duplicate key.”
Following the incident, the police reportedly arrested Kasali’s guarantor, father, and wife. However, they were later released after law enforcement officers clarified that the law does not permit indefinite detention of individuals not directly involved in the alleged crime.
The woman, who shared Kasali’s photographs online, appealed to members of the public to be wary of employing him.
She described him as someone who “looks and sounds innocent,” warning that he should not be trusted.
“She says he looks and sounds innocent, but don’t be fooled. Underneath lurks a thief,” the post read.
As of press time, the police are yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
