Reactions have continued to trail the recent video clip, where Sunday Adeyemo popularly called Sunday Igboho, has heaped insults on Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11.
Reacting, an Ife Spiritual Warlord, Oba Osogun Adimula, warned Sunday Igboho to stop disrespecting Yoruba traditional rulers, stressing that his recent abuses of Ooni was uncalled for, unacceptable and uncultured.
He stressed that it is unacceptable for any Yorubaman or woman, who comes from good home and respectable lineage to abuse any traditional rulers, talk less of a foremost monarch like Ooni.
His words, “I want the Yoruba eminent monarchs to warn Sunday Igboho. It is not acceptable the way he insulted Ooni of Ife. All the Yoruba people are very happy with how he is fighting the Fulanis, who have been terrorisng Nigeria, particularly, the South West. He should know that he would not be the first to fight for the Yoruba race and he will not be the last”.
“There are some groups, who have been legitimately fighting for the freedom of Yoruba for the past 28 years without insulting anybody. So, why will Sunday Igboho disrespect elders. He does not respect anybody. Sunday Igboho calm down”, he added.
According to him, “A true Yoruba person, who is from a good home will not speak to the throne like that . I know the king of Igboho. The man is a humble king, a good father. Your king do not have the audacity to speak to Ooni like that. Calm down, you are not the only warrior in Yorubaland. Help us warn this Sunday Igboho. I just do not talk. We know how Sunday Igboho started here. He should stop being arrogant if he does not want to perish. If he is not careful, he will perish. Well, I am not surprise, he has no lineage. His father lived in Modakeke as a poor farmer. Sunday Igboho himself is a motorcycle mechanic. In Yorubaland, we have culture. We have our own way of respecting the kings and the chiefs”.
