Unknown gunmen has murdered the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman of Igangan of Atakumosa East Central local government of Osun State, Chief Gbenga Ogbara, in the earlier hours of Monday.
It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the residence of the deceased around midnight, while he was relaxing in his sitting room.
The state Police Command Public Relations Officer, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident, saying that policemen had been deployed to the scene of the incident for proper investigations.
She assured that the culprits would be fished out and would be made to face the full wrath of the law.
The corpse of the late chairman have been deposited at the Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa.
