The University of Ibadan (UI) has released the merit cut-off marks for its 2025/2026 admission exercise, with Medicine and Surgery in the College of Medicine having the highest cut-off point of 78.875.
In the Faculty of Agriculture, Agricultural Economics is set at 51.375, while Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, Crop and Horticultural Sciences, Soil Resources Management, Animal Science, and Crop Protection and Environmental Biology each stood at 50.
In the Faculty of Arts, Anthropology, Archaeology, Classical Studies, European Studies (French, German, and Russian), History, Islamic Studies, Linguistics–Igbo, Linguistics–Yoruba, Music, Philosophy, and Religious Studies all have 50 as the cut-off mark. Arabic Language and Literature have 53.5 as cut-off mark. Communication and Language Arts is set at 61, English 56.5, Linguistics 56.875, and Theatre Arts 56.
For the College of Medicine, Biochemistry is 53.125, Dentistry 68.625, Environmental Health Science 51.25, Human Nutrition and Dietetics 55.625, and Medical Laboratory Science 63.25. Medicine and Surgery had the highest merit cut-off of 78.875, followed by Nursing Science at 71.375. Physiology is 55.75, and Physiotherapy 65.125.
In Computing and Economics/Management Sciences, Computer Science has 63.5 as cut-off point, Economics 58.125, Accounting 68.5, Banking and Finance 51.875, and Marketing and Consumer Studies 50.875.
For the Faculty of Education, most courses, including Adult Education, Business Education, Early Childhood Education, Education and Arabic Studies, Education and Biology, Education and Chemistry, Education and Religious Studies, Education and Communication and Language Arts, Education and Economics, Education and French, Education and Geography, Education and History, Education and Islamic Studies, Education and Computer Science, Educational Technology, Education and Mathematics, Education and Physics, Education and Political Science, Education and Yoruba, Educational Management, Guidance and Counselling, Health Education, Human Kinetics, Library and Information Studies, and Special Education, were all pegged at 50. The exception was Education and English at 53.125.
In the Faculty of Environmental Design and Management, Architecture, Estate Management, Urban and Regional Planning, and Quantity Surveying each has 50 as cut-off point.
The Faculty of Law had a merit cut-off of 70.875, while Pharmacy is set at 69.125.
For the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources, Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, Forest Production and Products, Wildlife and Ecotourism Management, and Social and Environmental Forestry all stood at 50.
In the Faculty of Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geography, Statistics, and Zoology each had 50. Geology, Industrial Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics were 51, while Microbiology is 50.5.
In the Faculty of the Social Sciences, Political Science is set at 55.375, Psychology 54.5, and Sociology 51.
In the Faculty of Technology, Agricultural and Environmental Engineering has 56.875 as cut-off point, Civil Engineering 63.25, Electrical and Electronics Engineering 70, Food Technology 51.125, Industrial and Production Engineering 51.625, Biomedical Engineering 55.375, Mechanical Engineering 70.5, Petroleum Engineering 62.75, Wood Products Engineering 51, and Automotive Engineering 51.5.
Finally, in Veterinary Medicine, the merit cut-off was set at 57.125.
