The Appointments and Promotions Committee for Academic Staff of the University of Ibadan (UI), presided over by the institution’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Kayode Adebowale held between Monday, November 28 to Wednesday 30, 2022, approved and promoted 117 academic staff to the professorial cadre.

According to the nation’s Premier University Bulletin dated Monday December 5, 2022 and signed by the School’s Registrar and Secretary to Council, Olubunmi O. Faluyi, the breakdown of the figure shows 50 academic staff were made professors, 64, Readers and three Deputy University Librarians.
