Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima on Monday, May 29, 2023, took oath of office as the 16th President and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The swearing-in, which took place at Eagle Square, Abuja, of the duo was completed within 12 minutes.
The new president was accompanied to the platform where the oath-taking took place by his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, former president, Muhammed Buhari, his wife, Aisha Buhari and Yusuf Buhari.
Buhari had handshakes with his immediate predecessor and had about one minute chat with Yusuf Buhari after he was declared as the nation’s president.
