President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Olanipekun Olukoyede, on the occasion of his birthday, praising his courage, professionalism, and commitment to Nigeria’s anti-corruption drive.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Olukoyede as a dedicated public servant who has shown exceptional professionalism and bravery in advancing the EFCC’s mission to rid the country of economic and financial crimes.
“Mr. Olukoyede has demonstrated professionalism and courage in the discharge of his duties, reinforcing the EFCC’s mission to rid the nation of economic and financial crimes,” the President said.
President Tinubu commended the EFCC boss for his steadfast commitment to transparency, institutional reforms, and accountability in governance.
He particularly lauded Olukoyede for setting up a special task force on currency offences to combat naira abuse and the dollarisation of the economy, as well as for introducing strategic frameworks in the fight against cybercrimes and economic sabotage.
The President prayed for God’s continued guidance and blessings upon Mr. Olukoyede, expressing hope that his determination would further strengthen Nigeria’s fight against corruption and help free the nation from the economic challenges that have persisted for decades.
