The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has clinched the top spot at the 6th edition of the One Service One Medal (OSOM) Games, held in Abuja from April 23 to 29, 2025.
The police team secured a total of 114 medals: 42 Gold, 38 Silver, and 34 Bronze, to emerge as overall champions of the multi-agency sporting event.
Organized by the National Sports Commission, the OSOM Games aim to enhance Nigeria’s Olympic prospects by promoting sporting excellence within the nation’s security agencies.
This year’s edition featured 12 participating agencies competing in 15 sporting events, with a focus on talent discovery and inter-agency collaboration.

The NPF team was led by the Force Director of Sports, Deputy Commissioner of Police Osifo T. Emefile.
One of the standout performers was Police swimmer Corporal Oka Dorcas Eworo, who was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Games after winning 9 Gold and 1 Silver medal.
Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, lauded the team’s performance and reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to sports development.
He noted that the NPF continues to build on a rich legacy of athletic excellence, citing sports icons such as DCP Chioma Ajunwa-Okpara (Rtd.), late SP Sunday Bada, and other current champions like Corporals Juliet Chukwu, Collins Obi, Yetunde Abbey, and Nathaniel Ezekiel.
