The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has cracked a troubling kidnapping case following a report filed on February 20, 2025, by Alhaji Badamasi Bala of Madaci Yan Nono Quarters.
According to a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the case involved the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl and her 4-year-old sister.
In a shocking twist, the older sister resurfaced four months later and confessed to staging the abduction in collaboration with three accomplices aged 25, 19, and 16.
All suspects have since been arrested, and the younger girl was rescued unharmed.

In Nasarawa State, operatives acting on credible intelligence launched a swift operation along the Giza–Kadarko Road in Keana Local Government Area.
A suspect, believed to be an arms trafficker, abandoned an unregistered Bajaj motorcycle and fled upon sighting security personnel.
A search of the motorcycle led to the recovery of one AK-47 rifle, two magazines, and 45 rounds of 7.62x39mm live ammunition. The police say efforts are ongoing to track and apprehend the fleeing suspect.
Also, in Jigawa State, a joint team of police officers and other security agencies carried out a coordinated raid on June 13, 2025, targeting suspected fraud syndicates in Kankare and Zurkuda villages in Birnin Kudu Local Government Area.
The operation resulted in the arrest of seven individuals linked to a network of financial crimes.
Recovered items included $46,100 in counterfeit U.S. dollars, four POS machines, 13 Android phones, 29 keypad phones, six power banks, two vehicle number plates, and various documents suspected to be connected to electronic fraud.
The suspects are currently in custody and assisting investigators.
