The Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Sa’idu Ahmad has revealed that over 64,000 candidates sat for the 2025 National Common Entrance Exam into Unity Schools.
Prof Ahmad, who gave the breakdown of the candidate to be 34,000 girls and 30,000 boys hailed the smooth, well-organised process, calling it a big win for inclusivity and quality education.
According to her, the National Examinations Council (NECO) ensured timely delivery of materials and support for special needs candidates, including those with autism and visual impairments adding, “This inclusive, transparent approach sets the tone for future national exams.”
“We witnessed a high level of discipline, punctuality, and coordination across exam centres. It shows our commitment to improving education nationwide,” Prof. Ahmad stated.
