First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called for a world built on peace and mutual understanding, urging nations to resist the provocations of war.
She made the call today when she received the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nigeria, Ali bin Ghanem Al-Hajri, in her office at the State House, Abuja.
Reacting to the recent attack in Doha, Qatar’s capital, the First Lady stressed that peace, which lies at the core of all major religions, is a value dear to the heart of God.
She encouraged global leaders to foster dialogue and understanding as a path to sustainable harmony among nations.
The closed-door meeting also focused on strengthening ties between Nigeria’s Renewed Hope Initiative and the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.
According to a statement signed by Busola Kukoyi, the Senior Special Adviser on Media to the First Lady, discussions centered on promoting education for out-of-school children, particularly in reforming the Almajiri system.
In his remarks, Ambassador Al-Hajri expressed Qatar’s gratitude for Nigeria’s show of solidarity and the First Lady’s advocacy for peace.
He reaffirmed that Nigeria holds a special place in the heart of the Qatari people and emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation between both nations.
