Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has paid tribute to late industrialist Chief Adekunle Ojora, describing him as a devout Muslim whose life exemplified the promotion of religious harmony in Nigeria.
She made the remarks during a condolence visit to the Ojora family residence in Ikoyi, Lagos, where she was received by the deceased’s daughter, Toyin Saraki, and her husband, former Senate President Bukola Saraki.
Speaking on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and herself, the First Lady expressed deep sympathy to the family, noting that the late Ojora remained a respected figure whose counsel and support would be greatly missed.

“You have always been in my mind and that of the President. We cannot forget him. He was always there with us as a family. This is also my family,” she said.
She also conveyed words of comfort to the widow of the deceased, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, commending her strength and describing the couple’s relationship as exemplary.
“Your relationship as a couple was an inspiration to many of us. We see you and him and many wish to have that sort of bond,” she added.
Reflecting on her personal encounters with the late Otunba of Lagos, the First Lady recalled meeting him at church services despite his Islamic faith, describing his life as a powerful testament to interfaith tolerance and national unity.
Members of the Ojora family, led by the matriarch, appreciated the visit and offered prayers for the success of the President and the First Lady.
Chief Adekunle Ojora died on January 28, 2026, at the age of 93 and was buried according to Islamic rites.
