Following the arrest and detaining of two Muslim faithful involved in the gruesome murder of Deborah Samuel in Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto, Sokoto State, on Thursday, May 12, 2022, Arewa youth in huge numbers have declared war on Christians, staging protests, breaking into homes and shops to attack Christians with dangerous weapons.
At the time of filing this report, it was gathered that the Holy Family Catholic Cathedral and Catholic Pastoral Centre built with several millions of naira have been burnt by hoodlums who are protesting the arrest of those who allegedly murdered Deborah.
Currently, videos of protests and attacks are trending on all the social media, particularly, Facebook and Twitter.
One of the videos sighted on Twitter by our correspondent showed some Northern Muslim youth breaking into a fenced compound and bringing out a woman in underwear, voraciously being attacked with dangerous weapons including cutlass.

Arewa youths wielding stones, sticks and machetes are on rampage at a Catholic Church in sokoto looking for Christians to to attack.
The rampaging youth have stormed non-northern shops destroying the shops and the wares.
Some northerners have called on the security operatives to release the men arrested in connection with the murder of Deborah for peace to return to Sokoto.
