Senator Dino Melaye of the Kogi West Senatorial District has revealed that Nigeria is already at the verge of recession, urging Nigerians to brace up for the worst time.
Melaye, in his twitter account stated, “The worst recession in our history beckoning. How are we preparing?”
The Senator, a member of the nation’s main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), revealed that the total excess crude account of Nigeria is less than $73million, the amount grossly insufficient to sustain the nation in time of lack.
He called on the governors in the country to become creative and take desperate conscious steps to ensuring that the nation does not sink stressing, “Lazy governors will have to get creative”.
He pointed out that the restructuring being clamoured for basically by the South West of Nigeria is already taking place adding, “Restructuring is happening already by default”.
