The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), and Biola Adebayo, a Nigerian notable actress and YouTuber, have successfully facilitated the return of Adeola, the 41-year-old daughter of veteran Yoruba actress Jumoke George, from Mali. Deola returned to Nigeria today (Monday, May 19, 2025.)
This development marks the end of a harrowing four-year disappearance that left her family in distress and the public concerned.
Recall that Adeola was declared missing about two weeks ago by Jumoke George, her mother in an emotional laden interview she had with Biola Adebayo.
According to her mother Adeola left Nigeria without informing her saying that she called from outside the country when she landed in a trouble, which she refused to disclose to at the time, adding that she did not know her daughter’s whereabouts.
Biola Adebayo, using her social media platforms; YouTube, FaceBook, Tiktoks, among others to launch a search for Deola, a mother of two. Under 24 hours, she succeeded in finding out that the lady was stuck in Mali, where she travelled to without travelling documents.
Deola’s travel started when she refused to go into prostitute that those who smuggled her to Mali introduced her to vowing that they would not allow her to return to Nigeria alive.
Biola Adebayo also took Jumoke George to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), where she was treated of her illness.

Upon Deola’s return, the Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, joined Biola Adebayo’s effort to bringing Deola back to Nigeria.
Making her case a priority following the public outcry and appeals from the George family, through diplomatic channels and coordination with relevant authorities, NiDCOM got Deola the necessary documents to return to Nigeria.
Jumoke George expressed profound gratitude to NiDCOM and all parties involved in securing her daughter’s return saying, “I am overwhelmed with joy and relief. My gratitude goes to NiDCOM for not giving up on my daughter. This is a miracle I have prayed for”, she said.
