Friends and colleagues have expressed deep concern after a young lawyer, Onyesom Peace Udoka, was reportedly kidnapped while returning home from her Call to Bar ceremony in Abuja.
Onyesom, who recently celebrated this significant milestone in her legal career, was travelling from Abuja to Benin when she was allegedly abducted. Her last known location was reported to be near Lokoja. Friends and members of the legal community have called for prayers and heightened vigilance, urging anyone with information to come forward.
Preliminary details reveal that Onyesom, a graduate from Enugu campus, was last contacted around 12 p.m. on Friday, 26th September 2025. Her Call to Bar took place on 23rd September 2025. Her phone number is listed as 0813 553 8123, and the last number she called was 0805 852 5334.
Authorities and concerned parties are appealing for any information that could assist in her safe return. Support and prayers from the public have been strongly encouraged as the search for Onyesom continues.
Unconfirmed report said she was not the only lawyer kidnapped. However, there is no information yet from the police about the kidnapping incident.
