On Tuesday May 26, 2020, Michael Adesola Obayelu, a Nigerian American celebrated his 50th birthday in grand style.
His family members, friends and associates could not hide their joy as they showered accolades on him, describing him as a wonderful human being.
His elder sister, Mrs Toyin Obayelu Awofeso, exclaimed, “Oh Wow! I can’t just keep calm; it’s my brother’s 50th birthday!!, saying, “Michael Obayelu; to God be the glory for your life. That you’re alive today could only have been God. This is your year of jubilee, restoration and rest. There shall be great performance of God’s blessings upon your life as He’s declared for this season”.
Describing the celebrant as her kindest brother, she stated, “Adesola, you’re the kindest brother anyone could wish for. I look back at our journey and I have fond memories of you all through, from childhood up till now. God bless you my darling brother, you’re like no other one. Love you more than I could express. The next 50 years of your life will be in perfect health, great wealth and joy everlasting IJN. Loads of love from everyone of us. Have fun my darling. Cheers”.

Also, Sola’s childhood friend, Dr Adekola Ola, a lecturer at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta wished him the very best saying, “Happy birthday. God bless Sola; many more blessings are coming your ways as you celebrate this age with grace. Amen”.
Nyakinyua Kamau described him as funny, kind, loving, hardworking, handsome, friend, confidant and one that puts others first.
Michael Obayelu was born on May 26, 1970 into a family of five in the Western Part of Nigeria. He started his his educational career at St. Bennard Primary School, Lagere, Ile-Ife, in Osun State, after which he proceeded to Seventh Day Adventist Grammar School (SDA), Ile-Ife. He also attended Kaduna Poly, Kaduna, in the Northern part of Nigeria, where he obtained Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Purchasing and Supply Administration. Also, he attended Saint Leo University, Marietta Georgia, USA, where he a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Marketing, specialising in Project Management.
Sola, a poet, who hails from Ilepete, Ondo, Nigeria, is a veteran of the United State military, film maker, film editor, film producer, cinematographer and web developer.
His hobbies include meeting people and writing short stories and scripts.
