Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has described late Ambassador Ibironke Adefope as a respected elder stateswoman and a personal friend who was one of the few people who could share her thoughts about issues with me even when they may not be palatable.
Makinde stated this in a statement on his X handle after paying a visit to the family of the deceased to condole with them over her recent passing.
“Ambassador Adefope was also the mother of Tara who is a member of the Oyo State Executive Council. Her loss is deeply felt. We pray that the Almighty continues to comfort her family and all who she left behind.” Makinde added.
