The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has reiterated the importance of improved funding, training, and welfare for police personnel, pointing out that these should be at the forefront of the ongoing constitutional review on national security.
Egbetokun stated this today while hosting the Constitution Review Committee at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
According to a press statement from the Police Headquarters, the constitution review team was led by Dr. Mabel Aderonke and discussed the legislative needs of security agencies in the ongoing constitutional review.
The meeting sets the stage for the National Constitution Review Summit scheduled for 17th June 2025.
