The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has appointed Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).
CSP Hundeyin, a skilled communicator, steps into this vital role after making a name for himself as the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Lagos State Command.
He boasts a BA (Hons) in English Language from Lagos State University and an MSc in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan.
Additionally, he has a Certificate in Civil-Military Coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre in Jaji, Kaduna State.
Hundeyin is affiliated with several professional organisations, including being an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a Member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).
His impressive career includes roles such as the Police Public Relations Officer at Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos, an Administration Officer at the Force Public Relations Department in Abuja, and serving as a United Nations peacekeeper with the Nigerian contingent during the UNAMID mission in Darfur, Sudan, in 2020.
In a statement, signed by DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the immediate past Force PRO just deployed to the Delta State Police Command as a Deputy Commissioner of Police in Charge of Operation, IGP Egbetokun encouraged Hundeyin to utilise his communication and security expertise to enhance police-public engagement and improve the image of the Nigeria Police Force.
