Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has dismissed a public appeal by a teenager, Anu Adeleke, who requested a DNA test to confirm whether he is her biological father.
In a series of posts on X on Thursday, the singer insisted that multiple DNA tests conducted at different medical facilities, including hospitals selected by both parties, had already established that he is not the teenager’s father. Davido added that he had never had a personal relationship with Anu’s mother beyond participation in the testing process and said he would not engage further on the matter.
“Never met the girl … except when went for the DNA … very stupid behavior. I will soon treat their FK … 5 hospitals just to be clear … the mom needs to go to jail … I don’t blame the poor girl,” Davido wrote. “Yes, I chose 3 hospitals and they chose their own two hospitals … all came out negative … this is the last time I’m speaking on this nonsense.”
The response came after Anu publicly appealed on social media, sharing her desire for another DNA test to confirm her paternity. In an Instagram post on Thursday, the teenager reflected on her childhood struggles, including bullying from classmates after claiming Davido as her father, which she said caused emotional distress and required professional support.
Despite these challenges, Anu highlighted her academic achievements, noting that she became a class prefect and remains focused on her studies. She emphasized that her request for a DNA test is a personal pursuit of clarity as she grows older and is not influenced by other family members.
The exchange has sparked conversations online, with many weighing in on social media about privacy, celebrity accountability, and the impact of public paternity disputes on children.
