Some Yoruba Nation agitators have commenced peaceful rallies in the United States of America (USA), seeking the international community’s assistance in the creation of Yoruba Nation.
The agitators, wearing white t-shirts with the symbol of Yoruba inscribed carried Yoruba National flag and banners with different inscriptions including, “Support Yoruba Nation” and Yoruba Nation Now.
The leader of the agitators said, “We are the Yoruba people all the way from South Western part of Nigeria. Nigeria is a failed nation. Nigeria is a failed state. We do not want to partake again of the 1999 fraudulent constitution. South Western people are peaceful people. We are accommodating. We are knowledgeable. We are educated. We are professionals. We are Yoruba people. Under the United Nations Act, people have the right for self-determination”.
“We want Yoruba nation now. We are exercising our fundamental human rights. Yoruba people want self determination. The reasons why we are agitating for Yoruba Nation is that under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, our mothers are being raped, our sisters, our daughters are being raped. President Buhari is supporting terrorists. He is supporting his kinsmen, Fulani to kill our people. Fulani has destroyed our economy. They have destroyed our farms. They have continued to kill us in hundreds. They have continued to burn our houses and vow to take our land and Buhari is not doing anything. Of a recent, Fulani went to Igangan town in the midnight and killed Yoruba residents of the area as well as burnt our houses, shops and the palace of the king. They have laid siege on us. They have sophisticated guns and other arms and ammunitions. Please, USA, UK, France and all the international community safe us from Fulani, safe us from Buhari. His kinsmen are slaughtering Yoruba as if they are slaughtering cows”, he concluded.
