A Fuji maestro, Saheed Osupa, recently made a heartwarming gesture by donating a substantial undisclosed sum of money to one of his devoted fans, Asake Alalubosa.
Asake, a local onion seller at Ile Ebi, Total Ayunre, Ibadan, had expressed her admiration for the musician in a video that went viral on social media.
The story began on September 5, 2024, when Asake took to Twitter to showcase her deep affection for Saheed Osupa by singing several of his songs.
In her heartfelt message, she expressed her desire to one day lavish him with money while he performed, saying: “Saheed Osupa, please don’t be annoyed with me. I don’t have money now, but whenever I get money, I will give you my money. I must spend money on Saheed Osupa.”
Touched by her devotion, Saheed Osupa made a surprise visit to her market on September 10, 2024, where he located Asake and donated a generous sum to her.
Speaking to traders and well-wishers at the market, the musician explained his motivation for the gift: “I have decided to come and give her this money so that she can trade with it. After making profit, if she gives me money, I will gladly collect.”
This touching act of generosity has been widely celebrated, highlighting the strong bond between the Fuji artist and his fans.
