Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has expressed deep appreciation to individuals and groups who supported her recent initiative, fundraising for the completion of the National Library, noting that their contributions reflect a shared commitment to national development.
In a message of gratitude posted by Busola Kukoyi, spokesperson to the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu thanked those who have commended her efforts, describing their recognition as an encouragement to continue championing impactful causes.
On the issue of accountability, Senator Tinubu highlighted that she had already publicly acknowledged several notable contributors whose support has been instrumental. Among them are President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and his wife, former President Muhammadu Buhari, several former First Ladies, as well as Senate President Godswill Akpabio and his wife, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas and his wife.
She also extended appreciation to members of the National Assembly, the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and the spouses of state governors, security chiefs and their wives, as well as prominent business leaders, including Aliko Dangote, Abdulsamad Rabiu, Arthur Eze, Tony Elumelu, and Jim Ovia, among others.
The First Lady noted that their support not only underscores their confidence in the initiative but also demonstrates a collective resolve to invest in Nigeria’s future.
