The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has elected former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo, as its new state chairman in preparation for the 2017 elections.
Adeyemo emerged as chairman by consensus during the party’s ongoing state congress held at the Liberty Stadium in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
His emergence followed consultations among party leaders and stakeholders, culminating in his adoption as the consensus candidate for the top state party position.
Party members at the congress expressed optimism that Adeyemo’s experience in governance and party administration would strengthen the APC’s structure in the state ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Further details are expected as the congress continues.
