The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has arrested 147 suspected internet fraudsters in Ogun State, two of whom were caught with locally made pistols.
While 93 suspects were arrested in Abeokuta, capital of the state, 55 were apprehended at K- Hotel in Itori, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Eighteen vehicles and mobile devices were recovered from the suspects arrested in Abeokuta.
From those arrested in Ewekoro, the EFCC recovered six luxury cars, 89 mobile phones, laptops and several incriminating documents.
The anti-graft agency assured that all the suspects would be charged to court upon the completion of the investigations.
